This is an ongoing consignment of blasting and painting preventive maintenance. As processing plants and transfer stations are scheduled to shut down for maintenance, we are tasked with an extremely tight schedule to blast and paint equipment, piping, tanks, and related steel structures to maintain a high level of preservation to the Refinery's processing systems. Although petroleum products are used as lubricants, the chemical composition of fuels and gases can have a very damaging effect on metals. Vigilance is the key to maintaining structural integrity of pipes and tanks. Strict compliance to product specifications, safety precautions, inspection, and scheduling is imperative. These protective measures help ensure the safety and quality of the Refinery's overall environment.
