This 30,305 square foot steel structure stands 116 feet tall, 85
feet long, and 25 feet wide. Within a full SSPC class 2A
containment, this test stand was blasted with Black Beauty blast
media to a SP-10 (near white blast), primed with a specified
Americoat high solids Zinc Rich Epoxy, and Top Coated with Ameron
Siloxane PSX 700. In addition to the test stand, the Flame Bucket
was blasted to a SP-10 (near white blast) with Black Beauty to
remove the existing lead based coating, primed with a specified
Interzinc 22 high solids, and Top Coated with a specified Intertherm
181 coating. Used by NASA to test and develop various jet propulsion
systems, this test stand will serve Stennis Space Center well for
years to come.
