The surface preparation and painting of this project consisted of blasting and applying an Epoxy/Urethane system to 225,000 square feet of extremely deteriorated steel having multiple coats of failed paint on a Ro-Ro type vehicle transportation barge. The key to this project was that the barge was in a cycle-delivery system of two-week intervals. This dictated that the entire scope had to be completed and cured within a one-cycle period. Two crews of 50+ men, working around the clock in 12-hour shifts, diligently accomplished the task, receiving great reviews from the customer.
