This project is
about children and for children. The transforming of the early
1900 school building into the first children's interactive museum
in the State of Mississippi was quite a challenge. It is brightly
decorated in primary colors. The centerpiece of the project is a
three story, triangular shaped maze of climbing extravaganza. To
foster learning, much of the building was left exposed and
brightly colored. This project was unique in it's approach due to
the end users - children. It was constructed with the view of a
child as the rule. This project earned ICCI "Best in the
State" in the Associated Builders and Contractors Mississippi
State Competition and garnered a National Merit Award in the
National Competition.
