Wilkinson
County Correctional Facility
|
A prison of this
size made mostly of pre-cast was a fast track project due to the
quick erection time. An alkyd system was applied to the walls, a
dry-fall system was applied to the ceilings, and a moisture cured
urethane system was applied to the floors and an alkyd system to
the steel surfaces of the prisoner areas. The administration area
was painted gypsum in a casual earth tone atmosphere. All exterior
surfaces received an elastomeric system of an earth tone motif.
With this being a two-story facility on the perimeter with
two-story, open common areas in the center, made most of this work
elevated, and accessible only by man-lifts and scissor lifts.
